This years show was held again at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, in conjunction with the

Midland Bonsai Society's Annual Show.  After my pre show panic, (would we have any trees to show!) my

fears were  alleviated when 12 excellent trees turned up. The show was further enhanced by a trimming

and styling demonstration given by Mr. Masayasu Nishiyama (Mack). It was shear good fortune that Mack

happened to see  our show date advertised on this website and, as he was in this country anyway, offered his

services to the Society.

On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Bob Thompson of Dai-Ichi Bonsai and Paul and Brenda Eslinger

for the loan of their trees and without whom the show would merely have been a display of nicely washed

and ironed tablecloths. Again, thanks also go out to "Mack" and all of those members who worked so hard to

make this another  enjoyable event.
